SBS Broadcasting Group is one of Europe’s leading broadcasting groups, operating commercial television, premium pay channels, radio stations and related print businesses in Western and Central and Eastern Europe. SBS currently has broadcasting operations in Belgium (Flanders), Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, The Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Sweden and the United Kingdom. On July 3, 2007 the share purchase agreement between ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG and the shareholders of SBS Broadcasting Group, signed on June 27, 2007, was closed. ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG thereby acquires 100 percent of the shares in SBS Broadcasting Group. After closing the transaction, ProSiebenSat.1 will start the integration of both companies into one pan-European broadcasting group. In its new form, the ProSiebenSat.1 Group will be active in 13 European countries. Its assets include 24 free TV channels, 24 pay TV channels and 22 radio networks.
